(Aspen, CO) MAY 21, 2012 – Aspen-based Sport Obermeyer (Obermeyer) is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Bannister in a new position as the company’s director of technology.
Bannister will oversee all facets of IT planning, facilitation and team management for Obermeyer’s global headquarters in Aspen, Colorado, as well as in their Denver, Colorado-based distribution center.
Additionally, and in conjunction with the executive team as Obermeyer positions for future growth, he will oversee strategic advancements in the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Resource Management (CRM) and all operations, inventory and accounting systems.
“Greg is an incredible talent – he will work with his team to identify and implement new best-in-class systems for Obermeyer so that we can best serve our customers for the long term,” said Robert Yturri, SVP of product and brand management for Obermeyer.
Bannister comes to Obermeyer from power tool accessory giant Jore Corporation, where he spent nearly a decade as the company’s chief information officer. During his tenure, he overhauled the company’s ERP system and rebuilt the customer experience from the ground up.
Prior to Jore Corporation, Bannister headed up technology for Ebara Technologies, Japan, and Genesis Technology Inc., in semi-conductors and aerospace defense. He holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Utah.
