Vans unveiled photos for its new LXVI line on its website today and the shoes can now be bought online, and at Foot Locker and Vans stores around the world.

Vans is launching LXVI to compete with the athletic companies that have entered the action sports space and to address the meshing of the mainstream world and the industry.

LXVI, verbally expressed as 66, the year Vans was founded, adds features and functionality typically found in an athletic shoe but wrapped in a Vans aesthetic, Vans said.
