West 49 Take the Cake Presented by Cinnamon Pops® Announces Roster – and it’s Big!
Confirmed riders include 2010 Take the Cake Winner, Torey Pudwill and fan favourite Ryan Sheckler.
(June 6, 2012) August 30-31, 2012 marks the return of Canada’s largest skateboard contest, West 49 Take the Cake Presented by Cinnamon Pops®. The excitement begins on Thursday, August 30th at the iconic Kingswood Theatre at Canada’s Wonderland where more than 100 of the world’s top amateur and professional skateboarders, will compete for a cash prize of $50.000.00.
This event is shaping up to be bigger and better than 2010 with top pros already onboard to compete. Including Nyjah Huston 2011 X-Games gold medal winner, Torey Pudwill, Take the Cake winner in 2010 and most recently 2012 Tampa Pro winner, Chris Cole who has won his share of big purses, including three straight in the Maloof Money Cup and fan favourites, Sierra Fellers, Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriguez.
Take the Cake is recognized by Street League Skateboarding™ allowing the top pros to participate in this event which is a major acknowledgement for this contest.
Spectators can plan to celebrate and hang out with the skate brands in the sponsor village. This event that will be jam-packed with parties, signings, music performances and much more.
