Industry turns out for ECSC

I spent the last few days in Virginia Beach visiting with retailers and checking out the 50th annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championship presented by Vans.

I’ll have in-depth interviews with some of the key retailers I spent time with there and lots more photos of stores in the next week or so.

In the meantime, here are some photos of what I saw on the beach during the contest, of some of the industry folks that were on hand, and a few photos from around town.

I also wanted to thank everyone there for the warm welcome and great hospitality. I learned a lot about this key territory, which is often referred to as the Huntington Beach of the East Coast.
