O’NEILL GENERATION NEXT, PRESENTED BY TEEN VOGUE, WELCOMED OVER ONE THOUSAND GUESTS IN SAN FRANCISCO THIS WEEKEND
TV Host, Louise Roe, ‘Chasing Mavericks’ Star Leven Rambin, and Surf Superstars Sage Erickson and Malia Manuel Attended the Packed House Event
IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 6, 2012- O’Neill, the original California surf, snow and youth lifestyle brand for 60 years, welcomed over one thousand guests to the 5th annual Generation Next design competition and music event, presented by TEEN VOGUE.
The event was held near Jack O’Neill’s hometown, at The Galleria at the San Francisco Design Center, this past Saturday, November 3rd. The night featured fashion and red carpet personality Louise Roe as host, along with one-of-a-kind O’Neill neoprene swimwear designed by Lauren Conrad, Marisa Miller, Jordana Brewster, A.J. Cook, and Leven Rambin in honor of Jack O’Neill’s invention of the wetsuit.
The five pieces are being auctioned online at oneillgirls.com until November 15th with proceeds going to charity. Music for the night was provided by New York based entertainer, DJ Sinatra.
San Ramon Valley High School sophomore, Sidney Bundlie’s 1980’s inspired design took home the Grand Prize package that included:
-$5,000 scholarship
-O’Neill wardrobe and design internship
-Exposure in TEEN VOGUE
-Winning design to be incorporated into the O’Neill collection
The Grand Prize winner was determined by a combination of text message votes from the audience, webcast viewers, and judges from O’Neill and TEEN VOGUE.
