Billabong said Friday in Australia that it has named Peter Myers as Group Chief Financial Officer.
Myers has worked for several other public companies there, including APN News & Media Limited and Network Ten.
He replaces former CFO Craig White, who was fired in December after the company unexpectedly lowered its annual earnings forecast two months after confirming it to the market.
Myers brings experience in IPO’s, takeovers, refinancing and acquisitions, according to Billabong.
“Peter has over 30 years of experience and insight at both a corporate and an operational level,” Billabong CEO Launa Inman said in a press release. “He understands the company’s current position, has a deep understanding of working with a wider team in implementing transformational strategies and will make a valuable contribution.”
