2013 Australian Surf Industry Awards presented by Surf Retailers Federation Inc.
MONDAY 7th JANUARY 2013: Australia’s Surf Retailers Federation today announced the launch and the calling for nominations for the 2013 Australian Surf Industry Awards presented by Surf Retailers Federation.
“The support for last year’s inaugural awards was amazing” enthused Mel Bawden, Executive Officer for Surf Retailers Federation Inc “we are really looking to build on that support and have introduced a number of new categories including Single Store Retailer of the Year for each state and the National (Chain) Retailer of the Year.”
“The Environment Award is a new judges category recognizing environmental initiatives by Retailers or Brands, we have also introduced Breakthrough Brand of the Year which recognizes any brand, new or established, that has made a significant and recent impact of the retail market in the last 12 to 18 months and the Rep of the Year Award is now recognized for each state,” said Bawden.
The gala Presentation night will again be held at Sydney’s Novotel Manly Pacific on Tuesday 19th March 2013. The awards ceremony is preceded by the Tag Team surfing event featuring “Brands United” vs “Retail All Stars” and will see the Brands trying to level the score after last year’s loss to the retail team!
