March 5, 2013 – Irvine, CA – Fox Head, Inc. is pleased to welcome professional surfer Christopher “Chippa” Wilson to the Fox family. Chippa joins Fox’s elite team of surfers, including Bruce Irons, Ian Walsh, Damien Hobgood, Keanu Asing and Bede Durbidge.
From Cabarita Beach, Australia, the 24 year old Aussie has continued to take the surf community by surprise with a series of video edits that are redefining the sports progression. Known for his standout performance in the Kustom Airstrike series and 2012 Movie of the year “Dear Suburbia,” he continues to set the bar high.
“I feel it is an exciting time to have a surfer like Chippa join our surf program,” said Fox’s Global Surf Marketing Manager Frankie D’Andrea. “His work ethic is amazing and he’s creative both in and out of the water. As a brand and company known for innovation and being the best, Chippa brings a considerable amount to the table. Having him on the team will energize, and elevate our program.”
“I’m excited to be a part of the Fox family,” said Chippa. “The surf program is really strong. I’m looking forward to designing surf apparel over the years and being a part of this new chapter. It feels so good to have a new logo on the nose, that’s for sure! It feels like I can finally get out there and do something.”
