Deckers brand Teva realigns staff

We heard that outdoor footwear brand Teva recently experienced some staff changes. We emailed Teva President Joel Heath to find out a bit more about what is happening there.

Teva is owned by Deckers Outdoor Corporation, which also owns Sanuk and Ugg.

Joel said via email: “Last week, we realigned our staff to better support our long-term business goals. Unfortunately, the realignment resulted in the elimination of some positions at Teva, and some valued members of the Teva family. The elimination of these roles is being offset by hiring in new positions with different areas of expertise and experience. That said, it’s never easy to make big changes that impact people we respect.”

Teva sales are expected to grow 6% in 2013, according to Deckers.

However, Teva experienced some bumps in 2012, with sales declining 7.4% to $115.5 million. International sales were particularly challenging.
