In addition to celebrating Go Skateboarding Day with events aimed at consumers, Element for the first time hosted a party for employees at the Billabong Americas headquarters in Irvine.
The idea for the internal party and for company-owned retail stores to embrace Go Skateboarding Day was sparked by new Americas President Colin Haggerty and carried out by the Element team.
The party was open to all of the Billabong family and was held in the parking lot. It included skateboarding, beer and a barbecue.
Company owned retail also got into the spirit with discounts on skateboards and gifts with purchase, etc.
