Press release:

WHAT: Volcom and famed LA street artist, Skullphone, have teamed up to launch limited edition apparel collaboration. To celebrate, the PacSun NYC pop-up shop in SoHo, where exclusive Skullphone pieces will be sold, is hosting the Volcom x Skullphone DIY Workshop. This event is open to the public. Attendees can screen-print their own limited edition Volcom x Skullphone tote bags. The first 75 people will receive a hand-numbered and signed art print from Skullphone and enter to win the whole collection.

WHO: Skullphone is an artist who lives and works in Los Angeles. In 1999, he began installing an image of a witty black-and-white skull holding a cell phone throughout city streets, and the moniker “Skullphone” ensued.  Over the past decade Skullphone’s iconic portfolio has grown to also include his “Pegasus”, the bones of a Mobil gas logo, which were mainly installed on defunct gas stations.  Skullphone’s new work examines contradictions in digital media.

WHEN: Saturday, June 29, 2013

12 – 3 p.m. EST

WHERE: PacSun NYC pop-up shop
