Jeff Booth, the former Men’s National Sales Manager at Billabong, is the new Core National Sales Manager at Sanuk, the team at Sanuk told me this morning.

Sanuk is a major growth vehicle for parent company Deckers Outdoor Corporation, the owner of the UGG and Teva brands, and Deckers is investing to grow Sanuk around the world.

At a time when some industry companies are cutting back, Sanuk has been hiring, including bringing on the former top DC Shoes sales executive, Jeff Fitzhugh, as VP of Sales for North America in May.

Jeff Booth has deep roots in the core market and with core retailers, and has worked at other industry companies such as Quiksilver and Oakley in addition to Billabong. He also was a professional surfer on the World Tour for nine seasons.

The announcement of Jeff’s new job comes about five weeks after his position and several others were eliminated at struggling Billabong.

Sanuk is announcing another hire, Tommy Campagne, who is the new Core Marketing Manager. Campagne most recently worked as the Sponsorships and Action Sports Marketing Manager for Verizon Wireless and also has worked for Young and Rubicam Advertising.

Both Jeff and Campagne were hired to focus on the surf specialty market, Sanuk President Jake Brandman said.

“Jeff and Tommy are tremendous additions to the team. They both understand the Sanuk brand, its roots and its culture and both are excited to bring their fresh perspectives on board,” Jake said in statement.

“Their deep experience in the industry and proven track records in sales and marketing make them ideal fits for their respective roles, especially as we continue to grow our footprint in the channel. These hires reflect our longstanding commitment to the industry, from which our roots were planted.”
