Important industry customer Zumiez said Wednesday that same store sales in July rose 0.8%.
Same store sales by week were:
1. -0.6%
2. -1.7%
3. +0.1%
4. +4.3%
Categories with strong results included hardgoods, junior’s and footwear.
Weak categories were men’s, boys and accessories.
For all of Q2, same store sales rose 0.9%. The company had forecast a same store sales range of flat to up 2%.
Year-to-date, same stores sales are up 0.2%.
Zumiez currently has 529 stores.
