Press Release:
QUIKSILVER PARTNERS WITH NORTH AMERICAN MOUNTAINS FOR 2013-2014 WINTER SEASON
Quiksilver Headquarters, CA – October 29, 2013 – Quiksilver announced today their North American mountain partnerships for the 2013-14 winter season, providing top of the line technical outerwear and apparel for mountain staff to utilize through blizzard and bluebird days alike. The resorts include Mammoth Mountain and Woodward at Copper Mountain in the United States, as well as Whistler Blackcomb and Grouse Mountain in Canada.
“We’re very excited with our lineup of North American mountain partnerships for the upcoming winter season,” said Clark Gundlach, Senior Vice President and GM of Quiksilver’s Wintersports Division. “We are confident that our outerwear line will get the job done for the mountain staff that spends their days in the elements.”
Quiksilver will be partnering with the following mountain resorts to provide technical outerwear:
Whistler Blackcomb: Nintendo Terrain Park Rangers will be relying on Quiksilver’s GORE-TEX Over and Out Jacket and National Pant, the most technically advanced items in the collection, to get them through the long and snowy British Columbia winter.
Grouse Mountain: Quiksilver’s GORE-TEX product will also be worn by the terrain park staff at Grouse, based just outside of Vancouver, British Columbia. “We are thrilled to enter our eighth year of partnership with Quiksilver, a brand synonymous with the winter season,” said Grouse Mountain general manager Michael Cameron. “Our terrain park employees spend the majority of their days on the slopes here at Grouse Mountain so we are very pleased to outfit them in Quiksilver Gore-Tex outerwear that not only showcases the latest trends in ski and snowboard fashion but is also functional in even the snowiest weather.”
Mammoth Mountain: The Unbound Terrain Park crew will be outfitted in a range of Quiksilver outerwear and apparel that fits their California style and weather conditions. Their kit includes the Dreaming Jacket, Spine Windstopper Softshell, Everglade Riding Shirt and Bridger Pant. “The Unbound Team couldn’t be more excited to continue the relationship with Quiksilver. Both our brands are deeply rooted in and connected to the California lifestyle–the opportunities for us to collaborate and innovate together are endless,” said TJ Dawoud, Terrain Park Manager.
Woodward at Copper: One of the country’s premier ski and snowboard camps and training facilities will choose to outfit their on-mountain and indoor staff in Quiksilver product, including the Over and Out Jacket, Forever Jacket and Still Snowing Pant.
