Press release:
November 11, 2013 – San Francisco, CA. – SOL REPUBLIC welcomed surfer Mitch Coleborn to their athlete team last week. Mitch Coleborn joins athletes Julian Wilson, Erik Ellington and Lizard King as a Savior of Sound for SOL REPUBLIC. Having been on the forefront of progressive surfing for over a decade now, Mitch has starred in nearly every major modern surf film. This creative Aussie has solidified his rightful place among the world’s most talented up-and-comers.
“Obviously Mitch is one of the raddest guys out there to watch surf, but beyond that he has been dialing me into amazing new music for years,” said SOL REPUBLIC’s Team Manager and Photographer Ryan Miller. “He is the perfect fit for SOL REPUBLIC.”
From the Sunshine Coast in Australia, Mitch continues to push surfing to new bounds with his inventive style. With his arsenal of full rotation alley-oops, rodeo flips and more, Mitch is not only recognized for his freesurfing, but for his results on the WQS. Make sure to watch Mitch compete in the Triple Crown starting November 12th with The Reef Hawaiian Pro as he goes up against the best in the world. Mitch is on the cusp of qualifying for the World Championship Tour and the 2014 contenders will be decided in Hawaii!
“I was sold on SOL Republic from the second I was given my first pair of Master Tracks,” said Mitch Coleborn. “They are the highest quality headphones I have ever owned and I am stoked to be a part of the team.”
