The SIA Snow Show got underway Thursday in Denver with brands and retailers talking business and reviewing lines for next winter season.
I heard stories of strong sales in Japan and in many parts of the U.S. due to record cold weather, while sales are tough for some retailers on the dry West Coast from San Diego to British Columbia, and in usual snow powerhouses like Germany and Austria, which have had less snowfall than usual this year.
Colorado has had a strong snow year, and Mother Nature provided more just as the snow show attendees were departing the Colorado Convention Denver for the day.
