Aika Collective, the online photo print shop, is excited to add 15 top Surf Photographers to the already impressive roaster of Action Sports Photographers.
Floris Gierman, co-founder of Aika Collective, explains “Launching into surf photo prints was a very natural next step for us to reach a wider audience, since there are so many similarities in excitement and spontaneous creativity between all board sports”.
A lot of these surf and ocean related photos have been used for magazine covers, in articles and ad campaigns. These images often disappear after being used once. “Launching surf is all about continuing to give people the opportunity to buy their favorite photo prints in an easy way”, explains co-founder Eugene Lai.
Aika Collective offers a wide variety of photos available from a lot of surf regions, and styles as well as lineups and fine art photography. From Tom Carey’s image of Bruce Irons pulling into the Waimea shore break during his Eddie win to Chris Burkard’s icy cold photos from Norway.
Tom Carey, one of the Surf photographers, mentions: “selling 1-off photo prints takes a lot of time and effort and its hard because I travel a lot. The guys at Aika Collective make it very easy for photographers to handle their photo print sales and I’m stoked to have my photos up with all these other amazing photographers on the site.”
The 15 surf photographers involved are from all around the world and most of them have shot photos for the leading surf mags, like Surfer, Surfing, Transworld, Stab etc. The guys are Zak Noyle, Chris Burkard, Ray Collins, Brian Bielmann, Grant Ellis, Peter Taras, Tom Carey, Warren Keelan, Deb Morris, Timo Jarvinen, Ben Thouard, Matt Clark, Nick Lavecchia, Javi Munoz (PacoTwo) and Seth Stafford.
Most photos are available in 6 sizes from 8″x10″ up to 30″x40″ to display as wall art. All photos are printed on high quality photo paper with an archival value of 100 years.
