John Mills, a former senior Quiksilver sales executive, is the new VP of Sales at TravisMathew, a Huntington Beach-based maker of modern men’s apparel for golf and work.
John worked at Quiksilver for 23 years in a variety of sales roles, most recently as SVP of Quiksilver and DC apparel sales.
I recently had lunch with a former top Quiksilver executive with deep sales experience who was singing John’s praises. This former executive said John was one of the best salesmen he has ever known, that he can work with the smallest retailer to the biggest department store customer, and can juggle sales plans and internal politics with aplomb.
John is the second Quiksilver employee to join TravisMathew of late. Sean Pence, formerly Chief Operating Officer of Quiksilver Americas, became the COO and General Counsel of TravisMathew in February.
