The industry turned out in force Thursday night for the grand opening party for Sun Diego’s new store in Carlsbad in the historic Twin Inns building.
The space is approximately 11,000 square feet and includes an attached restaurant, the Land & Water Co. Sun Diego subleased a portion of the space to Land & Water, which is led by Chef Rob Ruiz. Sun Diego owner Dave Nash has known Ruiz for many years, dating back to when Ruiz worked at another sushi restaurant.
The Carlsbad store is Sun Diego’s ninth location.
