Industry competitor Hollister, which is looking to boost its struggling women’s business by adding brands and more fashion to the merchandise mix, announced today it is launching a collection with “Pretty Little Liars” actress Lucy Hale.

The collection, the first Hollister partnership with a celebrity, will be launched in two installments in August.

The collaboration is reminiscent of PacSun’s alliance with Kendall & Kylie of Kardashian fame, a line that has been successful for PacSun.

Lucy Hale, also a musician, will perform at the Hollister House in Santa Monica in August to kick off the collaboration and do a Q&A with fans on Hollister’s Twitter account.

Hollister described the clothing in the Lucy Hale collection this way in a press release:

“Lucy’s first installment is inspired by her off-duty style and LA’s quintessential ‘throw-it-on-and-go’ approach to fashion. It features easy-to-layer styles in cool colors that take the guesswork out of mixing and matching. The second installment, inspired by So Cal’s laidback beach days and never-ending summer, focuses on super soft separates with relaxed silhouettes.”
