IRVINE, Calif., (February 2015) – …Lost, the Southern California-based surfboard and apparel company is excited to partner with Australian artist and illustrator, Lee McConnell, for a limited-edition capsule collection featuring McConnell’s art for spring 2015.
The relationship came together after Matt “Mayhem” Biolos stumbled onto McConnell’s work from an art show flier featuring artists that have worked for the art centric brand MAMBO. The two later met in Australia, and after a night out in Bondi over one too many Cuba Libres, the pair clicked and agreed to collaborate.
“What really drew me to his art is the rough and loose style with irreverent humor,” said Biolos. “It reminds me a lot of the stuff I did with buddies when we first started designing T-shirts and making surfboards. I always look for ways to keep it fun and looking young.”
The eight-piece collection includes a pair of board shorts, a woven, three T-shirts, a tank top and a towel featuring McConnell’s bright, whimsical designs and will launch as part of …Lost’s spring 2015 collection, which hits national retailers and better boutiques nationwide this month.
