Vail, CO (March 3, 2015)—The 33rd annual Burton US Open presented by MINI announces a packed broadcast and webcast schedule that will feature six hours of LIVE TV coverage on FOX Sports 2 and four days of webcasts on www.burton.com/USO. Later this month, FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2 will also broadcast recap and highlight shows so that US Open fans can relive all the action from top pro snowboarders like Mark McMorris, Stale Sandbech, Jamie Anderson, Danny Davis, Kelly Clark, Chloe Kim, Ayumu Hirano and more.
This week, live TV coverage kicks off on Friday, March 6th on FOX Sports 2 with women’s slopestyle finals at 1:30pm EST followed by two-hours of men’s slopestyle finals at 4:00pm EST. The broadcast will include commentary by veteran snowboard-event host Preston Strout and snowboarding expert and co-host Craig McMorris, along with 1992 US Open halfpipe champion Tricia Byrnes providing insight on the women’s competitions.
On Saturday, March 7th, the action continues on FOX Sports 2 in Vail’s 22-foot superpipe with live coverage of men’s halfpipe finals at 4:00pm EST followed by women’s halfpipe finals at 6:00pm EST (live-delayed). Following the event, a series of recap shows will spotlight the world’s greatest snowboarding event, including the US Open recap show airing on FOX Sports 1 on Sunday, March 15th at 6:00pm EST, followed by the slopestyle recap show on FOX Sports 2 at 8:00pm EST. Tune in to FOX Sports 2 again on Sunday, March 22nd at 8:00pm EST for the exciting US Open halfpipe recap show.
Complete coverage will also stream live online at www.burton.com/USO beginning on Wednesday, March 4th and will feature the battle through men’s and women’s halfpipe and slopestyle semi-finals, as well as the world-class slopestyle finals followed by the epic final halfpipe runs. During the US Open webcast, viewers will be entertained by three different commentators, including Snowboarder Magazine Editor Tom Monterroso, veteran snowboarding host for the BBC, Tim Warwood, and pro rider Jack Mitrani.
