Press release:
The weather couldn’t have been better on May 19th, 2015. After a brief meet and greet at Ultimate’s office, we loaded up the van and drove to the Boundary Bay Airport just outside of Vancouver BC. There we met the legendary George Powell, founder of Powell Peralta Skateboards.
George sat down with some of our Powell retailers, had lunch and then fired up the engines for a plane ride around Vancouver. Meeting George would have been enough of a treat for these guys but actually going for a ride in his “ripper” airplane was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Watch the short recap video here.
“It was an honor to be there and a part of the day, thanks for everything Ultimate”
— Ryan Robertson, Royal Boardshop, Calgary AB
“These types of things go a super long way with me. It was interesting and refreshing to hear how passionate George isabout innovation & pushing the envelope when it comes to developing newproducts. Props to Kevin, Brad & the rest of the Ultimate crew!”
— Rob Burnett, Freeride, Penticton BC
Ultimate distribution would like to thanks George Powell and the team at Skate-One for helping make this happen. We also wanted to send a huge thanks to the retailers for taking the time to come out, meet George and talk about their business.
