Eagles of Death Metal, the band that was playing at a sold out show in Paris during the terrorist attacks, has industry ties.
The band is close to industry watch company Vestal, and plays at The Vestal Village in Coachella every year and sets up an encampment there.
Eagles of Death Metal has also played at House of Vans events and performed at places like Mammoth Mountain.
“Jesse Hughes, Dave Catching and everyone associated with Eagles of Death Metal have integrated nicely into the surf culture through brands like Vestal, Vans and many others,” Vestal President Johnny Gehris told SES this morning.
Johnny also mentioned that that the band had tentatively agreed to host and perform at the next SIMA Image Awards before the recent tragedy.
While the band members escaped the rampage, their merchandise manager, Nick Alexander, was one of the scores of people killed.
