Eric John, Volcom’s Global VP of Retail, has departed the company, SES has confirmed.
EJ founded Laguna Surf & Sport, which he sold to Volcom in 2008. He then went on to hold several retail executive positions at the company.
His departure comes after the exit earlier this month of former CEO Jason Steris, who was replaced by Kering executive Todd Hymel.
Jason and EJ have a long history together. Jason started his career at LSS, where he became a store manger and a buyer before taking a job as a sales rep in the early days at Volcom.
EJ could not be reached for comment, and we have a request into Volcom for a comment as well.
