Zumiez delivered strong results for spring with same-store sales for March and April combined rising 3.9%, the company said this afternoon.
In April alone, same-store sales increased 7.8% and benefitted from the Easter shift.
Men’s, Junior’s and Accessories posted positive results in April.
Categories that declined included Footwear and Hardgoods.
For Q1 in total, same-store sales increased 1.8%.
The company also said its Q1 net loss per share will be at the lower end of its guidance range because of a higher-than-expected tax rate. The net loss per share guidance range previously issued was 17 cents to 21 cents.
Zumiez operates 688 stores.
