We are catching up on the news that the SurfStitch Group has named two executives as joint CEOs following the abrupt departure of former CEO Justin Cameron earlier this month.

Lex Pedersen, a SurfStitch founder and head of Swell.com, and Justin Stone, founder and head of Surfdome in Europe, will share CEO duties, according to SurfStitch.

When Cameron departed SurfStitch, the company said Cameron was looking to team up with a private equity firm to try to buy the company.

When announcing the new CEO structure, SurfStitch said it has thus far received no proposal about a potential acquisition.

The SurfStitch Group owns SurfStitch, Swell, Surfdome, Magicseaweed, Stab Magazine, Garage Entertainment and Surf Hardware International.

The company is investing heavily in content in a quest to merge content and e-commerce.
