Former Quiksilver executive Taylor Whisenand started a new job this week as CEO of a contemporary lifestyle brand based in Los Angeles.
Chan Luu specializes in jewelry, scarves and apparel and is backed by a private equity firm.
Taylor told me via text that “the group wants to be opportunistic with vertical growth, which is intriguing and it’s an opportunity that plays to my experience in apparel, accessories and my time with SALT.”
Taylor worked at Quiksilver for a total of 24 years during two stints with the company. Most recently he was SVP of Sales of the Quiksilver brand in the Americas. In between, he spent six years as the co-founder and CEO of SALT Optics.
Taylor departed Quiksilver in April of this year.
