Zumiez has filled two newly created presidents positions with internal executives, and may be grooming eventual successors to longtime CEO Rick Brooks.

The company made the announcement about the new appointments in a filing with the SEC Friday.

Troy Brown, most recently the EVP of E-commerce and Omni-channel, is the new President, North America and will be responsible for sales and operational profitability of the company’s U.S. and Canadian divisions. Troy joined Zumiez in 2008. The functional teams in North America will transition to reporting to Troy over a 12-month period.

The new President International is Adam Ellis, who will have responsibility for the sales and operational profitability Zumiez’s operations outside of North America, including Blue Tomato in Europe and Fast Times in Australia. Adam recently moved to Europe, where he has also been the Managing Director of Blue Tomato since Feb. 2017.

Adam’s most recent role was SVP of Global Retail and Business Development. He joined Zumiez in 2005 and held various jobs at the company, mostly in the real estate department.

Troy and Adam will continue to report to Rick Brooks, who will remain responsible for Zumiez’s success in its overall global business operations and global strategies, the company said in the filing.
