Zumiez is joining the industry fray at the Irvine Spectrum Center.
The retailer is taking a spot directly across from competitor PacSun, a space previously occupied by Aéropostale.
Aéropostale filed for bankruptcy early this month.
The Irvine Spectrum is a lifestyle center filled with restaurants, retail, entertainment and lots of industry stores.
In addition to PacSun, Zumiez will be competing against Hurley/Nike SB, Active Ride Shop, Vans, Quiksilver, Tilly’s and Urban Outfitters.
DC Shoes and Rip Curl had stores at the Spectrum in the past, but opted to close those locations.
