Cotopaxi and Snow Peak are teaming up to host pop-up shops in stores in Boston and Brooklyn.

As of May 22, Cotopaxi has a pop-up shop on the second floor of Snow Peak’s Brooklyn store, where the brand will showcase packs and apparel, including their flagship Allpa line and their new spring ‘2025 apparel, according to a news release.

Snow Peak has popped up in Cotopaxi’s Boston store, and the shop will feature the brand’s iron grill table starter set, Takibi fire and grill, Takibi tarp, Alpha Breeze tent, some smaller titanium goods, lighting, and select apparel.

Salt Lake City’s Cotopaxi is known for its signature bright block colors on its accessories and apparel, while Japanese camping brand Snow Peak products are sleek and refined. But both brands share similar values.

“The goal of this partnership is simple: we want to get more people outside so they can connect with each other and the world around them,” said Cotopaxi CEO Lindsay Shumlas in a statement. “We are two brands built on connection, and it was a natural choice to join together and foster that outdoor connection and drive impact with our audiences. We are excited that this partnership enhances brick-and-mortar spaces to even better connect with adventurers in Brooklyn.”

Both brands also share origin stories that were inspired by life in the mountains. Davis Smith founded the mission-led Cotopaxi brand after visiting the Cotopaxi volcano region in Ecuador. Snow Peak Founder Yukio Yamai was inspired by the healing power of nature while he explored Japan’s Mt. Tanigawa.

“We’re excited to move forward with this pop-up alongside Cotopaxi,“ said Noah Reis, vice president and chief operating officer of Snow Peak USA. “Our brands come from different corners of the world with unique perspectives on outdoor experiences. Cotopaxi, with roots in South America, leans into adventure and exploration, while Snow Peak is grounded in comfort and connection through the Japanese style of camping. Together, we can tell a broader, more inclusive story of what it means to spend time outside, all while introducing both brands to communities where we haven’t yet had a physical presence.”

Cotopaxi’s pop-up in Snow Peak’s Brooklyn retail space is located at 76 N 6th Street in Brooklyn, New York. Snow Peak’s pop-up in Cotopaxi’s Boston location is at 201 Newbury St, Boston.
