Zumiez Inc. said Tuesday it added Guy Harkless, previously of Champs Sports and AND 1, to its board of directors.
Harkless’s term as an independent director is set to end in 2025, according to the retailer’s SEC filing on the appointment.
Harkless brings to the board extensive experience in sportswear, working for both retailers and brands.
He most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of Foot Locker Inc.’s Champs Sports business. Before that, he led Foot Locker’s Canadian business as vice president and general manager.
Harkless has also worked at Nike and Puma and was a founding partner in AND 1, a basketball-based apparel and footwear brand whose trajectory was highlighted in the 2022 Netflix documentary “The Rise and Fall of AND1.”
Harkless is credited with leading the expansion of AND1 overseas in markets such as EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
