Outdoor Retailer Innovation Award Winners Named

Outdoor Retailer announced the winners of the coveted Outdoor Retailer Innovation Awards Tuesday at Outdoor Retailer Summer in Salt Lake City.

An independent panel of judges evaluated 137 total entries to determine the 13 winners. Products from the finalists are on display in the Innovation Gallery at the show.

TiCK MiTT, started by a father and daughter team, took the highest honor for Product of the Year for its reusable, microfiber glove that removes ticks from clothing, skin, and animal fur.

Entries were judged on four criteria:

  • Spark – concept, design, appeal.
  • Desire – opportunity, differentiation.
  • Function – innovation, functionality, insight.
  • Impact – cultural, environmental, business.
