The team at Patagonia sent us some photos of the VIP event and screenings for its new film, “The Yin & Yang of Gerry Lopez” from filmmaker Stacy Peralta of Dogtown and Z Boys fame.
Patagonia Films produced and financed the movie, with Academy Award-winner Evan Hayes of Free Solo and his Anomaly Content & Entertainment production company co-producing.
The film explores the duality of Gerry and how he balanced his fight to become the best surfer in the world with his dedication to yoga and Buddhist teachings.
Patagonia said the three nights of screenings were sold out and attended by generations of legendary surfers, skaters and industry friends.
The Surfrider Foundation’s local chapters were the beneficiary at each screening.
