The Surfing Walk of Fame attracted a sizeable audience of industry executives and lovers of surf culture to the annual ceremony honoring new inductees Thursday in front of Jack’s Surfboards, the elite sponsor of the event, in Huntington Beach, California.
This year’s honorees included:
- Surf Pioneer: Bing Copeland
- Surfing Champion: Felipe Pomar
- Local Hero: Jeff Deffenbaugh
- Surf Culture: Rip Curl founders Doug Warbrick and Brian Singer
- Woman of the Year: Sally Fitzgibbons
- Honor Roll: Mike Hynson
