Rab Equipment will celebrate the grand opening of its new flagship store in Denver on August 2, marking a significant expansion for the UK-based outdoor gear company. The new location at 1551 Platte St. in the Commons Park West neighborhood more than doubles the retail space from its previous location across the street.
The 2,320-square-foot store showcases Rab’s full range of technical outdoor equipment, including high-performance jackets, backpacks, and sleeping bags designed for hikers, climbers, skiers, and adventurers.
“We are thrilled to open the new Rab Denver location to our old friends as well as adventurers discovering Rab’s collection of incredible performance gear for the first time,” said Dan Gambino, store manager. “Relocating took roughly two years, but the wait was worth it.”
In addition to being able to stock more expedition gear, the new store will host events and instructional clinics led by outdoor experts.
Celebrate on Aug. 2
The grand opening celebration will include a full day of activities for outdoor enthusiasts and curious newcomers. Doors open at 11 a.m., with the first 10 visitors receiving a Rab Microlight Down Jacket. The festivities will include gear giveaways, live music, food trucks, and opportunities to meet Rab athletes.
There will be exclusive previews of upcoming Rab productions starting at 5:30 p.m. These films focus on compelling stories from climbing, skiing, and mountaineering adventures. Rab has also partnered with Spot Denver to host a special climbing event from 9 to 11 a.m. on August 2 at the Spot Bouldering Gym, featuring select Rab athletes.
Ongoing Community Events Launch This Month
Beyond the grand opening, Rab Denver has established regular programming to engage the local outdoor community. Run Club events, led by a Rab ambassador, will take place on the first Tuesday of every month beginning August 5. Movie nights featuring Rab-produced films or those showcasing Rab athletes will occur on the last Thursday of each month, starting August 28.
The new store operates Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
