Australian outdoor gear brand Sea to Summit has bolstered its North American team with the appointment of outdoor industry veterans Chris Sword as general manager and Aaron Baker as senior director of sales.
“Chris and Aaron bring a deep understanding of the outdoor industry and a shared passion for adventure that aligns perfectly with Sea to Summit’s values,” said Sea to Summit CEO John Rosair. “We have very exciting ambitions for our North American business and their leadership will be instrumental in guiding the brand into its next chapter. We’re excited for the experience, energy, and insight they bring to our team.”
Sword previously led brands such as Dynafit/Salewa, PEARL iZUMi, BELL+GIRO, and RovR. As general manager, Sword will lead Sea to Summit’s North American business, and be part of an “optimistic and creative next phase for the global business,” according to a news release.
“I’m thrilled to join Sea to Summit at this pivotal moment,” Sword said. “As an outdoor enthusiast and industry insider, I’ve long admired the brand’s depth, driven by meaningful values and innovative gear that have inspired adventurers for over 30 years. I look forward to collaborating with our passionate and talented team to build on the brand’s legacy, strengthen our partnerships, and seize new opportunities.”
Sword was instrumental in bringing Baker onto the team to lead sales. Baker began as an independent sales rep in the Midwest and later led global sales teams at KEEN and Chrome Industries. At Sea to Summit, he’ll lead North American sales strategy and execution.
“I’m excited to join a team so deeply committed to innovation and the outdoor community,” Baker said. “I’m eager to build strong, strategic partnerships that support sustainable growth and help bring our products to even more adventurers across North America.”
Sea to Summit recently announced it was expanding its Canadian sales network.
