Boardriders, Inc. Announces Leadership Change
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA, USA – April 15, 2022 – Boardriders, Inc., a leading global action sports and lifestyle company that designs, produces, and distributes branded apparel, footwear, and accessories under the Quiksilver, Billabong, ROXY, DC Shoes, RVCA, Element, and VonZipper brands announced publicly today that Shannan North, President Commercial Strategy and Growth & Chief Brand Officer, will be stepping down from his role at Boardriders.
Mr. North has been a member of Boardriders’ leadership, and a key team member of the Billabong brand, for over 25 years. After spending many years traveling and working between continents, Mr. North has chosen to retire and return to Australia to join his family who moved at the start of COVID and to focus on his personal business interests.
Shannan North said, “I am extremely grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the last 28 years by Billabong and Boardriders and am honored to have had a chance to work with so many brilliant people. I truly believe the future is extremely bright for Boardriders and I wish Oaktree, Arne and the whole leadership team all the best.”
Arne Arens, Chief Executive Officer of Boardriders, stated: “Shannan has been a strong part of the fabric of Billabong and the Boardriders brands, and has played an instrumental part in laying the foundation for Boardriders’ future success. We thank Shannan for his years of dedication to the company and wish him success and happiness.”
Mr. Arens will be managing Mr. North’s role, working closely with each of the Boardriders brands to ensure a smooth transition.
