What’s New: Good American Puts Size Inclusive Touch on Body Glove Collab

The limited-edition summer capsule featuring Khloe Kardashian offers silhouette updates to popular ‘80s pieces from the Body Glove archive.

Good American’s Body Glove collaboration touts plenty of ‘80s neon, while sticking to a size inclusive range the Khloe Kardashian-founded label is known for.

The collection consists of bikini tops and bottoms, swim shorts, long-sleeve swim tops, one pieces, and a swim skirt in hot pink and gold colorways sold exclusively through the Good American online shop. Sizes range from XS to 5XL.

Body Glove has been a brand my family and I have loved and lived in forever,” Kardashian said in a statement. “My mom used to wear Body Glove all the time in the ’80s, so this feels like the perfect homage to our shared loved of swimwear.”

The collection, retailing from $69.99 to $149.99, draws inspiration from Body Glove styles from the ‘80s and is made of a scuba knit.

Both companies marketed the launch through their respective social media channels, in addition to Body Glove athletes and Good American influencers.

Khloe Kardashian and Good American

In 2016, Kardashian launched Good American with CEO Emma Grede, who is also founding partner in Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand.

The two initially began Good American with three denim styles sold direct-to-consumer through the Good American online shop in addition to select Nordstrom doors. The business made waves when it said it sold $1 million worth of product on its release day, with a brand focus on inclusive sizing.

Today, the company touts B-Corp Certified status and has since expanded into several other categories, including pants, tops, dresses, sweats, jackets, swim, and footwear.

Distribution has also grown to include a Good American store at Westfield Century City, with two more on the way in Las Vegas and Newport Beach. That’s in addition to being sold at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie, Shopbop, and Revolve, among other retailers.
