Ocean-first B Corp, 4ocean, has launched its Earth Day 2022 April Bracelet of the Month. The brand’s limited-edition Earth Day Bracelet honors this year’s theme, “Invest in Our Planet.” Every purchase from this collection plants one mangrove tree and pulls one pound of trash from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines.
All month long, 4ocean will donate $1 to One Tree Planted, who will plant one mangrove tree in Guatemala for each dollar they receive. All donations will support the ongoing mangrove restoration project in Guatemala and provide a significant portion of the funds needed to plant, nurture, and monitor 150,000 mangrove trees in 2022. Often called “the nurseries of the sea,” mangroves are also crucial to biodiversity and ecological health in our oceans. The mangroves 4ocean will help plant will provide numerous ecological benefits, including increased biodiversity, climate change mitigation, decreased erosion, enhanced water quality, and more, which in turn benefits the communities that rely on these forests to survive.
All limited-edition bracelets are produced in small batches to reduce waste and made from certified 100% recycled ocean plastic. In addition, 4ocean Clean Ocean Club members will pull double the pounds and double their donation.
About 4ocean
4ocean is a purpose-driven business with a mission to help end the ocean plastic crisis by cleaning the ocean and coastlines while stopping the inflow of plastic. With the goal of creating an economy around cleaning the ocean, 4ocean has built a sustainable business model that allows the company to fund cleanups and utilize the latest innovative technology. Ocean cleanups are funded through product purchases, removing one pound of trash for every item sold, for a total of over 20 million pounds to date. 4ocean prioritizes engaging coastal communities, which creates jobs and adds revenue to local economies while changing the demand from catching fish to catching plastic. The solution to ending ocean plastic pollution lies in stopping it on land before it enters the ocean, which is why 4ocean is educating consumers about ways to reduce their single-use plastic consumption.
