PLANT A CORAL
Known for crafting premium rum named for Hemmingway and his beloved boat, Papa’s Pilar has a passion for its Florida Keys home and the coral reefs surrounding it. Through I.CARE, Papa’s Pilar is helping restore the coral reefs of Islamorada, including the world famous Alligator Reef. I.CARE incorporates local businesses, residents and visitors in the restoration and maintenance of coral reef communities. They have partnered with MOTE Marine Laboratory to create the first community based approach to reef restoration in the middle Florida Keys, with opportunities for community members to get involved with activities including coral transplanting, marine debris clean-ups, and reef monitoring. With participation from Islamorada’s businesses and residents, as well as divers across the country, I.CARE is restoring reefs for current and future generations.

CLEAN UP BEACHES
Bajío is spearheading a project to help clean up the beaches of Xcalak, Mexico. We have already cleaned up 6000+ meters of shoreline. That translates to almost 4 miles, or more than half the beach! This is a continual process as trash continues to accumulate.
