The Land Trust Alliance is proud to announce the Columbia Retail Store Grant Program, a collaboration with Columbia Sportswear throughout the fourth quarter of 2025. Inspired by the work of land trusts across the country, Columbia Sportswear has initiated a checkout fundraising campaign to support local conservation efforts by raising funds through customer donations at Columbia Sportswear retail stores in the U.S. All donations made across the country will be equally distributed to selected land trusts.
“We are so excited to continue our partnership with Columbia Sportswear, a company that has proven its commitment to inspiring people to make healthy life choices for themselves and their families,” said Ashley Demosthenes, CEO of the Land Trust Alliance. “This program will empower land trusts across the country to conserve more land, providing public benefits both seen and unseen, from wildlife habitat to flood resiliency, improved water quality, outdoor recreation, cultural preservation and food security.”
Land trusts or land conservancies are community-based, nonprofit organizations that work in their communities to conserve habitat for wildlife and plants, secure water quality, provide equitable access to nature, protect family farms and ranches, tackle climate change, build healthy communities, and so much more. Land trusts have already conserved more than 61 million acres of private land across the nation — more than all of our national parks combined. And from now until the end of the year, every cent donated at checkout at a Columbia retail store will help the land trust community conserve another 60 million acres by the end of the decade.
Since 2023, the Land Trust Alliance has partnered with Columbia through Rally: The National Land Conservation Conference, the largest land conservation conference in the nation, and through Columbia’s Tough Mother Funder charity checkout campaign. Inspired by the work of land trusts across the country, Columbia is expanding this point-of-sale fundraising campaign to further support local conservation efforts.
Every donation made as part of the 2025 Columbia Retail Store Grant Program will help support local, voluntary private land conservation in communities across the country.
