adidas Skateboarding reveals the Na-kel Smith Collection, the first footwear and apparel collection designed by Pro team rider Na-kel Smith. Drawing on silhouettes from adidas’ long-running soccer legacy, Smith fuses his personal style and original artwork with street-ready performance. Now, it’s my friend,” said Smith. Led entirely by the athlete, the collection’s primary artwork features a repeating character that the Pro has drawn throughout his childhood. “It’s a doodle based off of a younger me. The six-piece collection kicks off with a customized shoe from Smith – the Na-kel Matchcourt RX3, built with a breathable canvas upper and is reinforced with a heightened leather foxing that wraps the shoe for durability and grip. The silhouette also boasts a flexible vulcanized outsole that delivers unparalleled boardfeel and control. The collection is additionally comprised of a hoodie, jersey, t-shirt, shorts and socks—anchored by his original all-over caricature print and color blocking. From originality to function, the Na-kel Smith Collection is a one-of-a-kind capsule where high performance meets Smith’s offbeat style.
The Na-kel Smith Collection will be available at specialty adidas retailers worldwide and the adidas Skateboarding website starting March 10.
