adidas Skateboarding Slides Into the Acapulco

The Acapulco will be available at specialty adidas retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website starting March 1.

Published: February 15, 2017 Press Release

Drawing influence from the brand’s rich history and catalogue, adidas Skateboarding unveils the new Acapulco, an archival silhouette reimagined as a sleek skate chiller inspired by the adidas 1988 penny loafer of the same name. With a keen focus on paying homage to design cues of the past, the three-stripes brand looks to reshape nostalgic models through the lens of skate. The Acapulco delivers a laid-back vibe and style to skate feel, aesthetic and performance for riders when on or off the board.

The Acapulco loafer slip-on is made from a premium full-grain leather for style, comfort and durability. This polished chiller features subtle perforated toe details for added breathability, a mid-foot strap to lock a rider’s foot down for balanced board support, a vulcanized outsole for skate functionality and, a molded sockliner for low-profile cushioning and flexibility.

The Acapulco will be available at specialty adidas retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website starting March 1. The Acapulco will retail at $80.
