Jon Steele, Texas’ most published surf photographer, introduces his latest exhibit, ‘Strong Current,’ at the Art Center of Corpus Christi starting July 13, 2016. Steele, a Texas native, makes his living traveling the world, documenting surf, and capturing his perspective of the world’s oceans. Steele’s latest collection, ‘Strong Current,’ showcases his artistry and skill, developed over 20 years, thirteen countries, three oceans and countless waves. The event will kick-off on July 13th with an artist reception from 5-7pm at the Art Center in Corpus Christi. Exhibition will continue July 14th through August 19th at the Center.

“The pull of the ocean carried me from surfing and lifeguarding on the Gulf Coast to graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara before sweeping me out to the famed Pipeline in Hawaii and the biggest waves around the world,” Steele says. “I want my work to inspire others to think outside of their comfort zones and push them to follow their dreams and passions.”

The Art Center of Corpus Christi is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to nurture and promote regional artists and art as a service to our diverse community. For more information about the Art Center of Corpus Christi, visit www.artcentercc.org.
