Billabong is proud to welcome Kai Hing to the family. Hing, 18, hails from the Sunshine Coast of Queensland and began surfing at 5-years-old. Growing up just a mere 50 meters from the beach, Kai found it fairly easy to hone his skills during his early years. With full support from his family as he began to progress, Hing went on to excel in his amateur career.

Highlights for Hing include an Australian Title, a Pro Junior win in New Zealand, and winning the Australian Junior Series.

“Kai has established himself as one of the best juniors coming out of Australia, and it is just a matter of time before he joins the world’s best on tour,” said Billabong Global Team Manager Chris Heffner. “We’re excited to have him on the Billabong team!”

With a promising future ahead, Kai’s career goals include making the World Tour, winning a World Title and just being a good person.

“Super excited to be a part of Billabong,” says Kai. “From what I’ve noticed, they treat their riders like family, and that’s what I love to see in a brand. Can’t wait to be a part of the fam!”
