Today, etnies and Bones dropped its collaboration collection paying tribute to the brands’ humble beginnings. Matt Berger, Chris Joslin and Trevor McClung lead the alliance in commemorating the brands’ 30-year legacies by channeling a day in age when the times were simpler, skateboarding was being revolutionized and phones weren’t recording every moment. The etnies X Bones collection includes key pieces from Joslin & Berger’s favorite signature product that combine a black and white color palette with neon hits reminiscent of the 80’s.
The etnies X Bones collaboration pays homage to an era when ramps were built with friends and skaters spray painted logos on every surface. Watch as Matt, Chris and Trevor pay tribute to a simpler time in skateboarding: https://etni.es/-x-bones
“It motivates me to watch older videos before I go skate,” says Trevor McClung. “From the way people approached spots to their unforced style; I’ve seen tricks in videos that have inspired me to approach a spot with a fresh perspective.”
“No one from my suburb really skated except me,” says Matt Berger. “My dad used to film me in the backyard as I did my best to recreate the tricks of my favorite pros that I had seen in tapes. To this day, I still look to generations before me as inspiration to push myself and skateboarding.”
The etnies X Bones collection is now available on etnies.com and at your local skate shop.
