Sun Bum® announced the newest addition to its Ambassador family , Brazilian pro surfer, Filipe Toledo. Toledo joins fellow WSL team riders Julian Wilson and Malia Manuel, rounding out the brand’s diverse lifestyle Ambassador group.
Toledo joins Sun Bum after recently finishing fourth in the World Surf League’s (WSL) 2015 season. Known for his crazy airs and for being one of the fastest surfers on the planet, Filipe obviously puts a great deal of emphasis on his equipment. “Being in the sun everyday I need to trust my sunscreen, so I’m stoked to partner with Sun Bum” says Toledo ”I love their products and company vibe”.
Originally from Ubatuba, Brazil, now living in San Clemente, CA, Filipe is the son of Ricardo Toledo, a well respected Brazilian surfer. In 2015, Toledo had the best year of his professional career on the WSL World Tour, managing to grab his first 3 WSL event wins finishing the season in the top 5.
