At Flip Flop Shops we live to create innovative ways to Free Your Toes®, to promote a casual, healthy, stress-free lifestyle. But the unfortunate truth is that there are millions of people right now who cannot live a stress-free “Free Your Toes” Lifestyle. They have been thrust into traumatic life changing events as a result of natural disasters all across our country and the world. As a result, we feel it is our duty to establish the Free Your Toes Relief Fund at all participating shops to help those in need. The rebuilding process will be long and costly, so through this fund we enable our shops to raise donations for officially sanctioned relief funds of various natural disasters affecting our country and surrounding regions. While the buzz and news coverage may fade, the relief effort and need for continued support is far from over.
By establishing this relief fund, Flip Flop Shops is creating a conduit for customers who want to help. 100% of the charitable funds will go directly to official local and national relief organizations. An example of an organization specifically dedicated to helping raise funds for the people of Puerto Rico is “United for Puerto Rico”. This initiative was created by the First lady of Puerto Rico for the sole purpose of providing aid and support to those affected by the destructive passage of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. Another example from one of our own is the Go Fund Me page of our colleague and friend Vanessa who owns the Flip Flop Shops in St. Maarten. Vanessa’s shop sustained considerable amounts of loss and she is working towards putting the pieces back. To find out how to help directly visit: https://www.gofundme.com/4g0pup4
Simultaneously Flip Flop Shops will continue to support our approved national organizations, both Soles4Souls and the Red Cross. These organizations continue to plan and organize relief for people in need, 365 days a year. We know every little bit counts and hope you will join us in this effort. Participating shops are now officially taking donations.
