Hari Mari, the premium sandal brand known for infusing color & comfort into its distinctive flip flop lines, announced today the hire of industry veteran, Andy Trammell, to head its domestic and international wholesale sales efforts.

Trammell, previously, the VP of sales for Native Shoes since 2013, and Director of Sales for Sanuk sandals before that, oversaw and lead the wholesale growth charge at both businesses. He’s also held leadership roles with Columbia, Oakley and Vans, bringing over twenty years of collective experience in the consumer soft goods industry with him.

“To be able to add someone of Andy Trammell’s caliber and track record to our growing brand, is something akin to bringing a bazooka to what was previously a rock fight. We’re beyond ecstatic to be working with him to take Hari Mari to the moon, and beyond!” said Hari Mari founder, Jeremy Stewart.

Moving quickly in his new position with Hari Mari, Trammell already doubled the size of the sandal-maker’s sales team, recruiting top talent in the space to bring more expertise to bear and increase the company’s geographic coverage.

“I am excited and honored to join such an amazing company. The founders have done a great job building a brand that has purpose and that consumers love. My goal is to build on their success and take Hari Mari to the next level, domestically and internationally” said Trammell.

Hari Mari’s new relationship with Trammell further bolsters the brand’s quick growth and continued success in the premium flip flop category. Hari Mari is currently carried by more than 700 outdoor, lifestyle, boutique and specialty stores across the U.S., as well as locations in Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, and Japan.

ABOUT HARI MARI FLIP FLOPS

Hari Mari was founded in 2012 by Jeremy and Lila Stewart, and born out of the couple’s time spent in Indonesia, where each worked on projects related to bettering kids’ lives. Moving back to the States and wanting to continue to help children, the couple recognized an unmet need for comfortable & colorful flip flops at a premium level. The idea for creating a quality-driven flip flop brand that would support kids was born.

Seeing a lot of companies helping children abroad, Hari Mari decided to focus its efforts in the U.S., and was stunned to discover pediatric cancer is the most fatal disease among American children, more fatal than all other childhood diseases combined.  It clicked from there. Hari Mari’s commitment now sees 1% of sales going to support kids battling cancer.  It’s called Flops Fighting Cancer.

Hari Mari flip flops are available on HariMari.com, as well as many boutique, specialty, outdoor, surf, yoga and running retail locations, including Nordstrom, REI, Zappos, to name a few, and range in price from $110 for its full-grain leather Nokona baseball glove collaboration line, to $45 for its water-friendly ‘Dunes line.  A full list of retailers can be found on HariMari.com.
